Capable of precise vessel positioning control using the DPS system.

“Awaji” can maintain accurate vessel position control using the DPS system, even under certain conditions with external factors such as tidal currents, wind, and waves.
Capable of a wide variety of applications, including cable laying, oceanographic surveying, buoy installation at great depths, and fish reef installations, and also supports submarine cable laying for offshore wind power generation.

A dedicated barge for laying submarine cables and water pipes.
Equipped with the DPS for stationary positioning and a standard turntable, capable of maintaining position even in deep waters or areas where anchor deployment is challenging. “Awaji” can outfit specialized equipment for laying cables between wind turbines, with endorsed construction track records.
Additionally, it is capable of diverse site responses beyond submarine lines.
Capable of automatically laying cables along a preset route.
The Dynamic Positioning System (DPS) is a system that automatically controls the position and orientation of a laying/work barge against external forces (tidal currents, waves, and wind) by moving each thruster through a computer, allowing for automatic control. It is possible to lay cables automatically by inputting a preset route into the DPS.
